Wage vs. Ramsey
Wednesday, 27 April 2005

On August 10, 2004 my sons Nathan and Nicholas came home from there summer visit with their father in KS. This visit was not unlike the others we have endured over the last eight years. They seem distant and angry about something. We make the four hour trip back to Austin and talk some of the way about the summer. Nathan is angry at me for things that his father has told him. Things like I don't spend the child support on him and that he will be living with his father soon. He talks of the other children and how they fight and that they don't get along. He says that when he told me over the summer that David Jr. was locked in his room away from the others and made to eat all meals alone
that he made a mistake. That his stepmom told him that it was David's choice and that he wasn't locked in his room. Allison (stepmom) told Nathan that David Jr. was not allowed around the other children, because in her words, "He has a problem with touching children where they shouldn't be touched" He tells me that Margot tells on him and Nicholas all the time and that she gets them in trouble on purpose. He is very frustrated and angry when he talks to me. Nicholas seems to be happy to be home. He is glad to be in familiar places.
There are seven children, including Nathan and Nicholas. David Jr. 17, Fetal alcohol syndrome, serious mood disorder, extreme behavior issues; Margot 15, Fetal alcohol syndrome; Nathan 11, ADD, bi-polar disorder; Nicholas 9, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, oppositional defiant disorder; Hunter 10, ADHD; Ryder 6, Ethaniel 1. Hunter is Allisons' son from a previous marriage and as of April 2004 was placed by Judge Hart in the sole custody of his father.
We arrive home and it takes no time for them to settle in. They are inspecting their room and belongings and forget about summer for the time being. On the evening of August 17 I am preparing dinner as I hear a knock at the door. I answer it and there is a constable there to serve me papers. I am being sued for custody of my sons.

Mood:  irritated
This is a true story about a family in Texas. The most important in this story are two boys age 11 and 9.
I am going to start from the beginnging and try very hard to be as detailed about all the information that I will be providing, as you will be able to validate it.
I am looking for response and help from all who want to give it. Ideas and suggestions are much appreciated as well.
